Basic Study Page fields

Fields: Fields: Basic Set-up Page
Here is information about the fields (features) on the Basic Set-up of Study page.

Start Date
The date when your study setup will be available for participants. The default is the date you created your study. You may modify this field to any date you like.

NOTE: This field is required.

End Date
This is the date your study will close and participants will no longer be able to access the study.

The default End Date value is one year from the default Start Date. You can enter any date you like as long as it falls after the Start Date.

NOTE: This field is required.

Close Data Collection When Sample Size Equals
This field indicates the sample size you want for this study. Sample size is based on number of participants who have registered to participate in your study, not how many have completed the study. The default number of participants is set to 25.

NOTE: This field is required.

Assessment Center tracks the number of participants who register for a study NOT the number who actually complete all assessments.
You may wish to use a larger number than the actual accrual you need, so that you can get complete data, allowing for participants who withdraw or are noncompliant.

Contact Information for Participant Questions
Please enter the name, email address and/or phone number of the person designated to answer participant questions. The default is the study creator’s email address.

What you enter here will automatically appear on your data collection site’s home page.

NOTE: This field is required.

URL Extension
This creates a unique domain name for your study. Participants will access your study via a web address that begins with assessmentcenter.net/ac1/assessments/ and ends with the text entered into this field.  The default is your study’s name.

For example, assessmentcenter.net/ac1/assessments/painstudy1

NOTE: This field is required.

You may want to choose a short, easy-to-remember URL extension. It must be unique name (not used anywhere else in Assessment Center).

If your study name has spaces, the spaces will by default be converted to underscores, e.g. pain_study_1. You may want to remove the underscores from the URL extension so that participants may more easily type in the URL.

graphic
You may upload an image to be included on your Welcome page. Please consult the Assessment Center User Manual for step-by-step instructions on how to complete the image upload process. The user manual can be downloaded from the Assessment Center home page or the Resources page.
