Here is
information about the fields (features) on the Arm/Assessment
Details page.

Arm
|
This is a
label indicating the study arm which corresponds with the current
detail page.
|
Assessment
|
This is a
label indicating the assessment which corresponds with the current
detail page.
|
Instrument
Block
|
This field is
used to put instruments into blocks or to indicate an instrument
will not be included in an assessment.
The default
Instrument Block value is 1.
![]() If instruments
have the same number in the Instrument Block drop list, they are in
the same block. If an instrument is given the block “Not Included”
the instrument will not appear in the specified arm/assessment. All
Not Included instruments are sorted to the end of the instrument
list.

Block
Administration
|
This field is
used to designate whether a block of instruments should be
administered in a fixed or random order.
The default is
fixed.

Selecting a
block administration option for one instrument within a block will
dynamically change this field for all instruments within the same
block.

“Fxed” means
the block of instruments will be administered in the order
established by their block number, e.g. block 1 with a fixed block
administration will always be the first instrument block
administered to a participant.

“Random”
means the block of instruments to be administered randomly,
e.g. block 1 & block 2 with random block administration will be
randomly be the first instrument block administered to a
participant.

Instrument
|
This field is
a label which provides the name of each instrument in the
study.
|
Order
within Blocks
|
This field
designates how instruments within a block will be administered to
participants. Instruments within a block can be assigned specific
order or may be administered randomly.
The default is
sequential ordering within the block.

Values may be
in consecutive, non-sequential order.

Completed
by Participant
|
This checkbox
is used to indicate whether an instrument should be administered to
a participant. If the box is unchecked the instrument will only be
available to the study team in the Participant Data section of the
Administration tab. Only team members with proper roles on
the study may view and/or enter data into these
instruments.
The default is
checked, i.e. administer instrument to a participant.

Chart review
or clinician rated instruments are examples of when the Completed
by Participants checkbox should be left unchecked.

Administer
|
This drop list
allow a user to indicate whether or not they would like the system
to check if an item has already been administered in an assessment
and if that is the case, not administer the same item on a
subsequent instrument within the same arm/assessment. If a user
selects No Duplicates under the Administration field any item
already administered in preceding instruments will not be
administered a second time.
The default is
the administration of All Items.

When using No
Duplicates, the score recorded when the item was first administered
will appear in the export files for all subsequent instruments in
which the item appears.
An Administer
selection is not available if an instrument is using the
Administration Methods, CAT orBranch.
